The currently eight participating countries - France, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Switzerland - have agreed upon a joint programme management structure to manage, co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of the INTERREG
IIIB NWE Programme.
A joint Monitoring Committee oversees the overall implementation of the
Programme and is responsible for the correct use of the ERDF funds.
A joint Steering Committee made up of representatives of the National
and Regional Authorities of the participating Member States and of the Swiss Confederation decides upon individual project applications.
participating Member States have appointed the Conseil Regional Nord-Pas de Calais (F) to act on their behalf as the Managing Authorityfor the INTERREG IIIB NWE Programme.
The 'Caisse des Depots et Consignations' (F) is the Paying Authority, in charge of making ERDF payments
to the projects' lead partners.
The focal point for information and practical day-to-day implementation of the Programme is the Joint Technical
Secretariat located in Lille, France.
A network of NWE Contact Points established in each Member State plays an important role in facilitating the process of project development in close co-operation with the Programme Secretariat.
