Event Announcement - Second thematic workshop in Cork

Over 80 participants attended the second thematic workshop on Improved Access to the Information Society which took place  in Cork on June 26-27th last.

After the successful maritime activities workshop organised on past 13-14 March in Liverpool which generated 15 new project ideas, the INTERREG IIIB North West Europe Secretariat organised a second thematic workshop to fund transnational projects that enhance Information and Communication Technologies in Cork on 26-27 June last. As in Liverpool, this workshop was very much geared towards helping key players build concrete project ideas and meet potential partners in other regions of the co-operation area.

The event started with a plenary session where the basic principles of the NWE Programme were explained (to download JTS presentation please click here). Following this, five expert guest speakers gave key note presentations focused around the main topics of the event. (You can also download  the guest speaker presentations by clicking on the workshop of your choice.)
