Programme Management «  Back

The currently eight participating countries - France, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Switzerland - have agreed upon a joint programme management structure to manage, co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of the INTERREG IIIB NWE Programme.

A joint Monitoring Committee oversees the overall implementation of the Programme and is responsible for the correct use of the ERDF funds.

A joint Steering Committee made up of representatives of the National and Regional Authorities of the participating Member States and of the Swiss Confederation decides upon individual project applications.

The participating Member States have appointed the Conseil Regional Nord-Pas de Calais (F) to act on their behalf as the Managing Authorityfor the INTERREG IIIB NWE Programme.

The 'Caisse des Depots et Consignations' (F) is the Paying Authority, in charge of making ERDF payments to the projects' lead partners.

The focal point for information and practical day-to-day implementation of the Programme is the Joint Technical Secretariat located in Lille, France.

A network of NWE Contact Points  established in each Member State plays an important role in facilitating the process of project development in close co-operation with the Programme Secretariat.

A flash presentation summarises the Programme's organisational structure.
